During the meeting, it was declared that the Concept, which adoption the Bill (Reg.№5085) envisages, determines objectives of the State migration policy according to the interests of Ukraine and priorities of the State migration regulation.
Thus, the Concept defines the essence of the State migration policy and its strategic objectives, forms comprehensive understanding of migration sets the principles and priorities of activity of the public authority bodies in the field of migration, defines the ways of improving its legislative and institutional support, as well as tools and forms of its realization. The Committee members stated that the Concept was aimed at the effective State management of migration, creation of conditions for stable demographic and socio-economic development of the country, enhancement of national security by preventing uncontrollable migration and eliminating its consequences.
It was declared during the meeting that the Bill clauses in entirety do not contradict the European Union law system and also take into the consideration the priorities in cooperation between Ukraine and EU in the sphere of justice and internal affairs.
